Business Development: Elisa Caputo’s Career Story

Meet Elisa Caputo, Director, Business Development at Zonda Urban.

How did your interest in Real Estate begin?

While growing up, I aspired to work in real estate. I watched my parents’ flip houses for many years, and I loved seeing the transformation of residential spaces and helping during the construction process. 

How has education or professional development elevated your career? 

For my undergraduate education, I completed a dual degree at the University of Calgary in Urban Studies and Commerce (General). In my final year, I worked part-time as a Contemplated Data Analyst at Urban Analytics (UA). My responsibilities included tracking the development permits and rezoning applications for multi-family development in both Calgary and Edmonton.  

Tell us about your current role:  

By April 2020, I transitioned into a full-time role as Market Analyst, tracking and writing quarterly reports on the presale multi-family condo and townhome markets in Calgary and Edmonton, and assisting our advisory team in feasibility reports. Throughout my tenure at UA (now Zonda Urban), I have undertaken various roles including that of a National Account Manager, working with over 300 clients across Canada.  

In my most recent role as Director of Business Development, my focus involves forging strategic partnerships and driving the adoption of our platform across all markets in Western Canada.
