IN COLLABORATION WITH

The future of urban real estate is mixed-use. As many cities continue to densify, single-use developments are increasingly less favorable and less profitable. In years to come, we’re going to see a growing demand for creatively imagined and used spaces. This course draws on the experience of Rob Spanier, an expert in placemaking, who has projects across Canada, North America, and the Carribean. You will work through Rob’s curated approach to mixed-use development and leave the course with a development approach for a case study.

Once submitted, you'll be automatically redirected to the next step, where you can add the course to your cart and complete payment.

Course Details

The downtowns of Canada’s largest cities include many dynamic mixed-use real estate development projects. Technological advances, traffic congestion, and environmental concerns are some of the many factors that contribute to the rapid growth of mixed-use real estate planning and development. Gain an overview of the development process that incorporates complimentary residential, commercial, civic, and business uses into a single parcel or development concept area. Learn about mixed-use planning polices, development regulations, and the complete development process through expert industry speakers, exposure to case studies of active developments across Canada, and interaction with like-minded co-learners.
